COMPUTER ROOM

Our computer room is sporting up to date equipment, and is open for all our residents to use.  This equipment includes flat screen LCD monitors, new CPU's, a color laser printer, and a high quality scanner.  In order to keep this new equipment in top running condition, volunteers are needed as monitors for the room.  Hours that the computer lab will be open will depend upon the availability of these trained monitors.  There are ethernet cables available for loan so you may plug your laptop into Canyon Vistas high speed system.  If you are computer savvy and are willing to be trained as a monitor, please let the activities director know, or stop in the computer room to let one of the monitors know of your interest.

WI-FI ~ Canyon Vistas has expanded the WI-FI system in the resort by adding "repeater" towers.  The goal is to provide WI-FI that will be available to most residents from their units.  While this goal has not yet been fully achieved, work is continuing to come closer to this goal.  We urge your patience as the work continues.  The very nature of wireless technology is such that it is impossible to guarantee that the service will work in every site.  Additionally, not all wireless cards will work equally well within a wireless network.

Of course you may bring your wireless equipped laptop to the ballroom or the office area for even better wireless speeds.
