Forwarding to Canyon
Vistas Go to your any post office to pick up a mail forwarding form,
or fill it out online
by clicking here.
The Apache Junction Post Office requests the following "four line"
address format be used to fill out the part of the form for
you "new" address at Canyon Vistas:

Gold Canyon, AZ 85218
Below is an example:

Unfortunately the forwarding form and software of USPS seems to have problems with 4-line
addresses, so you might check with your local post office when you fill
it out. If you cannot use the 4-line address, put the PMB right
after your name.
Also, don't be surprised to see that "Gold Canyon" comes up as "Apache
Junction" through USPS. 85218 is considered as an Apache Junction
ZIP.
When you fill out the form,
specify a date to stop forwarding that is about a week or more prior to
the time you will actually be leaving Canyon Vistas to return home.
Forwarding mail from
Canyon Vistas
DO NOT go to the Apache
Junction Post Office to fill out a change of address form when you are
to leave here. The Post Office considers Canyon Vistas as a
one-address mail drop, and puts all the mail addressed to 6601 E. Hwy 60
in tubs to bring here, and volunteers here at Canyon Vistas sort and
place the mail in your mailbox.
When you leave Canyon Vistas,
you need to leave a number of pre-printed address labels (a sheet of 30
is recommended) so that any
mail that still comes here can be forwarded to your "home".
These labels will be attached to each piece of mail that comes here
after you leave. Be sure to leave enough labels for any mail that
might still come here. When the labels run out, your mail will be
"Returned to Sender". The persons that send you mail
need to know when you are leaving here so they can begin sending your
mail to your home address. This will not only assure you of timely
mail delivery; it will also keep the mail staff here from having to do
unnecessary forwarding.
The labels you leave here need to be the
full size labels (at least 1"
x 2 5/8"), not return address size labels. If you do
not have the ability to print the labels, the computer club here at the
Resort will do it for you at a $1.00 per sheet of 30 labels.
There is no charge for the forwarding
service provided by Canyon Vistas, but the Post Office may charge you
full price for forwarding periodicals.
