VALLEY FEVER
Valley Fever is an illness quite unique to the southwest desert areas, particularly in the "Valley" we are in.  Its symptoms can develop some time after the exposure to the things that cause it.  Since it is not common in other areas of the country, it would be a good idea to be aware of the symptoms.  If those symptoms manifest themselves after getting back to our home area, it could be very helpful to suggest to a physician back home that he/she might consider whether the illness could be Valley Fever.  Below are two links that could be helpful.

Vial of Life

The Vial of Life program has been explained here at Canyon Vistas during our Monday Morning Coffee sessions by Lou Houle.  You can learn more about the program through the Vial Of Life site.  You can print the form directly from the site, or you can even fill out the form online, then print what you need.  You can pick up empty pill vials from any pharmacy, or you can use one that you have emptied.  Lou has also prepared a form that can be used to put in the Vial of Life instead of the online form.

Emergency Preparedness for RV'rs and other Travelers

In addition to the Vial of Life form, Lou Houle has developed a list of items to consider when preparing for travel.  See a printable PDF copy of that by selecting the link below.
