CANYON VISTAS RV RESORT Activities

...in the desert and mountains is a special thrill. Many at Canyon Vistas have their own four wheelers or ATV’s that they take to the desert. Some of the rides are challenging, some are ever so relaxing. If you are interested, in joining with a group or just want to find out about some of the trails that are available to you, don’t just head out on your own without checking with some one.

FOUR WHEELING...

Driving off pavement in the desert and the mountains offers a unique way to get up close and personal with this beautiful part of Arizona. It doesn't matter if you have an SUV, a pickup or a tricked-out Jeep, there are trails that match your vehicle and your level of experience. Steve Curtis, site 146, has a web site showing most trails within easy driving distance. He also rates the trails for difficulty. ~JeepingUSA~
A recreation permit is required to hike or travel on State Trust land, but usually not on US Forest Service (USFS) or BLM land. A majority of trails are on USFS or BLM land, but State Trust land can be intermixed and hard to identify, so you should go to the State of Arizona website to get a permit.
